Delight Yourself in the Lord: Seek Him

But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29 New King James Version)

If we want to delight ourselves in the Lord, we must seek Him. The verse above says we must seek Him “with all our heart and with all our soul.” Wholeheartedly. Unreservedly. Persistently. Consistently.

"The More I Seek You"
The more I seek you,
the more I find you
The more I find you, the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet
drink from the cup in your hand.
Lay back against you and breathe, hear your heart beat
This love is so deep, it's more than I can stand.
I melt in your peace, it's overwhelming. ©

The Bible also instructs us to “seek Him first.” “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matt. 6:33; KJV) Here is the interpretation of that verse, according to Edwina (yours truly):

You seek [look for, study, research, strive for, aim] first [before anything else] the kingdom of God and His righteousness [how He lives, which is how He wants us to live] and all these things [your desires, needs, wants] shall be added [freely given] to you.

Abba Father, how my heart longs for You. My soul thirsts for You. I seek You in the dark of the night – and You are there. I seek You in the brightness of the day – and You are there. With all my heart and all my soul, I seek You. And you are always there. Thank you, Father God—for always being there. I love You Abba Father. Amen.

Edwina:
We should seek Him first when we have an issue in our lives. But do we?

Celeste,

You make a great point. Normally, we do all we can to resolve the issue before we do what we should have done first - seek Him.

Thanks for your comment!

Blessings!
