FEARLESS by Max Lucado

Book Description:

Each sunrise seems to bring fresh reasons for fear.

They're talking layoffs at work, slowdowns in the economy, flare-ups in the Middle East, downturns in the housing market and upswings in global warming. The plague of our day, terrorism, begins with the word terror. Fear, it seems, has taken a 100-year lease on the building next door and set up shop. Oversized and rude, fear herds us into a prison of unlocked doors. Wouldn't it be great to walk out?

Imagine your life wholly untouched by angst. What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to threats? If you could hover a fear magnet over your heart and extract every last shaving of dread, insecurity or doubt, what would remain? Envision a day, just one day, where you could trust more and fear less.

Can you imagine life without fear?

Max has done it again. He has taken a subject that is on everyone’s mind these days-- and in his own succinct, always gentle and sometimes humorous way-- has addressed it from the viewpoint of faith.

With no hesitation at all, I can confidently recommend this book to everyone. No book is timelier for the current state of affairs in our nation and world and no book addresses our fears as well as Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear.

No matter who you are or what situation you find yourself in, this book will help you to increase your faith and live a life “fearless!”

Hi Edwina!
I've just perused your blog and have enjoyed it so! Re: today's Max Lucado book review - thanks so much. I didn't realize he'd released a new one. I am a huge fan of Max's. One of my all time favorites of his is "You Are Special," which was written for kids but is just as applicable for adults. I bought the video for my kids many years ago and every time I watch it, I cry! It's about not allowing yourself to care what others think about you -- only try to please the Master. Looking forward to seeing you next week. I'll have "Daisy Chain" for you to read (and keep or give away to your readers, if you'd like).
