Wonderful Weekend - Wonderful Palm Sunday

What a wonderful weekend it has been! Friday was a writing day “retreat” for me. A good friend, Connie, and I went on a one-day writing “retreat.” We met at a location other than our homes and both of us were very productive, as well as enjoying time talking. It was a refreshing day!

Yesterday, Dave and I went “antiquing.” If you’ve never been to Hogansville, Georgia, and you want some great buys on antiques, then that is the place to go! Beautiful pieces at amazing prices! But the best part of the day was spending time with my sweet hubbie – just the two of us, enjoying the weather and each other’s company.

Today is Palm Sunday. What a joy to be in church this morning as we heralded the beginning of Holy Week with praise and worship. We celebrated Palm Sunday by waving palms during the processional and throughout worship just as the crowds greeted Jesus as He triumphantly entered Jerusalem. (Matt. 21:8-9) Palm Sunday is also known as Passion Sunday by some denominations and commemorates the beginning of Holy Week and Jesus’ final agonizing journey to the cross.

As you contemplate the life, death and resurrection of our Savior this week, may your relationship with Him become stronger and more personal. If you are reading this blog, and you do not know Jesus as your Savior, there is no better week than this to find a church where you can meet Him and accept Him into your life. As our priest closes every Sunday service, “He loves you. He is not angry at you. He has not forsaken you.” Become His son or daughter this week!

Our Pastor (Priest)always closes with a saying that goes, just think you are not here by an accident, because Gods knows evrything, so if he is speaking to you today I urge you to listen to him and give him another son or daughter.
That was well said Edwina

Jeanette,

I like what your Pastor says, too.
Just like Esther was told "You were brought here for such a time as this..."
